Privacy Policy

Litter League™ is a competitive cleanup app for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account data may include your sign-in method, email address or Apple private relay address, authentication identifiers, handle, optional avatar, app preferences, and support messages.

Cleanup activity may include cleanup walk start and end times, GPS route traces, distance, collection method, estimated or entered weight, haul notes, points, streaks, badges or stats, crew membership, leaderboard activity, and app activity needed to operate the scoreboards.

User content may include proof photos, optional extra haul photos, profile photos, generated share-card images, and related photo metadata such as file size, dimensions, timestamps, and storage paths. We may use photo metadata to operate uploads, detect duplicates, reduce abuse, and support review of suspicious reward or leaderboard claims.

Device and diagnostics may include app version, device model, operating system, crash or error information, performance data, and security signals needed to keep the app reliable and prevent misuse.

Location, Photos, and Sensitive Content

Litter League uses GPS/location data to record cleanup routes while you use cleanup tracking. Route traces and proof photos can reveal sensitive places or habits, so we treat them as sensitive user content.

Proof photos and GPS traces are not public by default. Sharing is user-initiated, such as when you choose to share a generated haul summary card or save/share an image from the app.

How We Use Information

  • Operate sign-in, profiles, avatars, cleanup logs, routes, photos, crews, points, stats, and leaderboards.
  • Generate share cards and let you save or share them when you choose.
  • Review suspected fake, duplicate, unsafe, or abusive submissions.
  • Provide support, troubleshoot bugs, improve reliability, and protect the app.
  • Comply with legal, safety, security, anti-fraud, and recordkeeping needs.

Service Providers

We use service providers to run the app, including Supabase for authentication, database, and storage. We may also use providers for hosting, email, diagnostics, analytics, security, and customer support. These providers process information for app operations and are not allowed to use it for their own unrelated purposes.

Sharing and Selling

We do not sell personal data and we do not show ads. We may share limited information with service providers, when you direct us to share content, when needed for safety or security, or when required by law.

Retention

We keep information as long as needed to operate Litter League, maintain accurate records, provide support, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with legal obligations, and protect users. Some records may remain in backups, logs, or de-identified aggregate statistics for a reasonable period.

Your Choices and Rights

You can manage iOS permissions for location, camera, and photo library access in Settings. Some features will not work without the permissions they need.

You may request access, export, correction, or deletion of account data by contacting support@litterleague.app. Deletion steps are also listed at Account and Data Deletion.

Children and Minors

Litter League is not intended for children under 13. If you are under the age required to manage your own account where you live, use the app only with permission from a parent or guardian. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without appropriate consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
